St. Mary's Church, Oldswinford.
We have strong ties with St. Mary's Church, Oldswinford. Along with active Foundation Governors the Rector and Curate are regular visitors to the school, leading Assemblies and joining in activities.
The children visit the church and grounds for study and participate in Education Sunday, Carol and Leavers' Services alongside the church community. A number of our children are members of the Church Choir.

Our Community
We have built many links within our local community. Senior Citizens are invited to Harvest Tea each year whilst others visit to share their life experiences with the children [e.g. the 2nd World War]. Oldswinford village is part of the children's studies along with Mary Steven's Park. Links with the Police and the Fire Services, Mary Steven's Hospice, local Secondary Schools and the local Library Services help generate an understanding of community life.
Parents are involved, on a voluntary basis, in activities within school and in assisting on educational visits. We study the History of Oldswinford and the surrounding area contrasting it with Oldswinford today.
Sport, Music and Dance link us with other schools and the community through competition and the sharing our children's talents.
We support the Church, Mary Steven's Hospice and other local organisations in raising charitable funds. Individuals and groups of children are encouraged to initiate activities to support and help those less fortunate.
We have a thriving 'Before and After' School Club {The Fielders Club} which provides busy parents an all important service.
The school is used by the local Scout Troupe and Townswomen's Guild as a meeting place which, along with the many and varied after school clubs alongside the many PTA social events held at the school, further supports the school as an integral part of our local community.
We have a rota for Years 2 to 6 to 'Womble' [litter picking] throughout the year and Year Groups have adopted sections of the grounds to garden and maintain.

We use, learn, contribute and participate in our local community.
