| What should I do if my child is ill? The school should be notified at the earliest opportunity by the parent, ideally by telephone [01384 818790]. If this is not possible a note from the parent on the child's return to school explaining the absence is required. What will happen if my child is ill whilst at school? In the first instance the child will be cared for by the staff. If the child is sufficiently unwell a parent will be notified and they will be asked to take the child home. It is important that the school is aware of any changes to telephone and other contact details for this reason. What should I do if I want to take my child out of school for holidays during term-time? This is generally discouraged. If it is unavoidable then a form is available [click here] or from the School Office. When is the best time to see a teacher about any concerns I might have? Teachers will be able to devote more time to parental concerns after school than before school when they are preparing lessons. If you want to discuss matters fully it may be best to arrange an appointment with the teacher concerned. What kind of snacks can the children have at break-time? The children are encouraged to eat fruit and healthy snacks at break-time. Are there any school clubs? Yes, please see our School Clubs page. How do I order school uniform? Sweatshirts, cardigans, polo shirts, PE t-shirts, fleeces are all available. These items have the embroidered school logo on them. Also available from school are book bags, sun hats and PE bags. [click here for School Shop] Is water provided in school? The drinking of water is encouraged both inside the classroom and out. We ask that you provide a non-spill drinking bottle [please remember these need to be replaced regularly]. There are water fountains around the school to refill water bottles.
