From the early 1970's the school has supported the Dudley Music Services. Our reward has been a continuous line of talented children who have contributed to the school's many successful bands and orchestras over the years with some going on to join the music profession. They have played at many functions and entertained numerous groups over the years. Our accolade was when our string orchestra was invited to play at the Albert Hall.
July 2004 The Choir and Band performed at the Merry Hill Centre.
We would not have had this success without the dedication of the Dudley Music Services who send into Dudley schools peripatetic music teachers.
Today they are a part of the Dudley Performing Arts.
We certainly support the view that children who learn a musical instrument become 'better at reading, writing and maths'.
