| The School's PTA was first established in 1971 by the then Head Mr. R. W. Vale. The first Summer Fair of 1972 raised £332 and boasted a Free Fall Parachute Display Team [during the summer of 1975 the PTA Summer Fair raised £400 and hosted a hot air balloon and the newly formed School Band]. Today the PTA raises thousands of pounds for the School from the Summer Fair, the Christmas Fair and other fund raising events. As well as raising money for the School the PTA organises many social events for parents and children including Discos and Bonfire Night activities. Money raised by the PTA benefits the school in many ways from the purchase of books to a library, electrical equipment, computers to an Outdoor Theatre and financial support for off site educational and enrichment activities. |

| When your child joins the school you become automatic members of the Oldswinford C. E. Primary School PTA. It takes dedication and hard work by members of the working committees of the PTA to sustain a full programme of fund raising and social events. The fruits of their labour is evident in the feeling of a community thriving to provide the very best for its young. If you would like to become involved in the PTA look out for the PTA AGM usually in early October each year. Alternatively you may wish to offer your services or skill to the PTA in which case ask to talk to the PTA Chair or PTA Secretary - names of current PTA Officers can be obtained from the School Office. |
