8-a-side Leagues

RULES

1]         8 –a- side [no offside] [normal football rules apply]

2]         3 substitutes [roll on / roll off – any combination at any time]

3]         Size 3 or 4 football

4]         20 minutes each way [max.] to be decided before KO

            15 minutes each way [min] to be decided before KO

5]         Boys and Girls / years 5 and 6 are eligible for selection

6]         The first named school listed on the fixture list is responsible for making  contact with the opposition and arranging the game

7]         Fixtures may be played before the ‘play by date’

8]         Goal difference will not be taken into account in the event of two or more

schools gaining the same number of points at the end of the season.

9]         The Winners Trophy will be awarded to the school/s with the most points at

the end of the season [3 points win / 1 point draw]

10]       It is the responsibility of the designated HOME TEAM [i.e. first named on the

fixture list]  to send the result of the game to the League Co-ordinator a.s.a.p.

after the game.

11]       All disputes and appeals will be decided by Mr. J. M. Tromans in the first instance.

12]       Schools competing will be allocated [by pupil population in Years 5 and 6] to

League ‘A’ or League ‘B’

13]       League fixtures should be completed before the Christmas break [Schools may

complete their fixtures in the New Year if weather conditions dictate –

please inform League Co-ordinator of re-scheduled arrangements
