The OCEPS School Council was re-established in 2002 to give the children of the school representation on school matters. It meets regularly to discuss current issues. The Chair keeps order and ensures all members are heard. The Secretary keeps minutes of the meetings and ensures members receive them before they next meet.
At the beginning of each Academic Year children in Years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 [if they wish] put their names forward for nomination. They address their Year Group as part of their election campaign. Elections take place in each of the Year Groups 2 to 6 and the Council is formed.
Members of the new Council elect a Chair; a Secretary and 'Buddies' to visit and represent the Reception Classes and Year 1. Our School Council is a member of the Stourbridge School's Councils Forum
