Whenever you use the internet always keep the following safety rules in mind

Kids’ Rules for Online Safety

1.  Never give out personal information such as address, telephone number, parents’ work address/telephone number, or the name and location of the school without first telling your teacher or parents.

 

2.  Tell your parents or teachers about anything that makes you uncomfortable.

 

3.  Never arrange to meet anyone you meet via chat rooms or other “online” methods.

 

4.  Never send a picture of yourself or family.

 

5.  Never respond to messages from people you don’t know.

 

6.  Never reveal your Internet passwords to anyone; not even your best friend

 

   

I will ask permission before I use the internet.

I will only email people I know, or my teacher has approved

I will not give my home address or telephone number, or arrange to meet someone, unless my parent, carer or teacher has given me permission.

I understand that the school check my computer files and may monitor the Internet sites I visit.

I will report any unpleasant material or message sent to me. I understand my report will be confidential and would help protect other pupils and myself.
